For this project, my client approached me with a heartfelt request: to design two personalized teenage rooms that reflect each child’s evolving identity while supporting their daily routines. The challenge was to create spaces that felt expressive, stylish, and age-appropriate, offering both functionality and comfort as they transition from childhood into young adulthood.

The first room features a lively, illustrated cityscape mural, chosen to mirror the teen’s creative spirit and love for art and urban culture. The space blends a soft-toned bed and textured rug with a playful hanging chair, allowing for both relaxation and self-expression. A compact desk setup provides a dedicated space for homework, reading, or creative work.

The second room was designed for a slightly older sibling who preferred a more mature, moody tone. We selected a dramatic aerial night view of a city skyline, setting the tone for aspiration and quiet confidence. Soft fairy lights, plush seating, and layered textures bring warmth and depth to the space. This room also includes a personalized study area and cozy reading corner, promoting balance between productivity and calm.

Both rooms are approximately 170–200 square feet in size and were meticulously planned to include:

Defined sleeping, studying, and lounging zones,

Storage solutions are integrated into the design using vintage-style chests,

Comfortable seating with hanging chairs that add movement and visual interest,

Accent lighting and textures to support sensory comfort and ambiance.

These rooms are not just bedrooms—they're safe havens where creativity, dreams, and daily life meet in harmony. This project perfectly reflects my passion for designing with emotional intelligence—spaces that grow with the people who live in them.
